Emotion Coaching
For Parents of preschoolers through elementary school
Children’s crying, screaming, fearfulness, and anger are big challenges for parents. When children express big feelings like anger, sadness, frustration, and fear, they become quickly overwhelmed--and so do we! Children will often lash out with temper tantrums or rebellion. With emotion coaching, you can help your child learn to calm down, handle stress, and become a better problem solver.
In this workshop, you'll learn how to:
- Pay attention to and identify feelings
- Express empathy
- Allow your child to solve their own problems
Your enrollment includes access to video recording, an audio version that you can listen to podcast style, and handouts!
Your Instructor
Lisa is a lifelong educator and trainer in many capacities: from computer, communication, and relationship skills in Fortune 500 companies, to respectful ways for parents to teach and support their children.
She discovered PEP when one of her 3 children was struggling in school. After getting guidance from a counselor on how to help her child, she asked “That’s great, now what can you do for ME, because I feel like a failure as a parent, all I ever do is yell at my kids, if we continue this way not only will I fail, but my children will fail too!”
PEP provided skills, support, and practice for Lisa's family. She is passionate about helping parents guide their children to be capable, positive, independent and courageous.
