Join PEP's Award-Winning Class Today!
In addition to teaching specific skills, PEP has designed programs in early 2021 to help single parents not feel alone in addressing their unique challenges.
To continue the community discussion and connection, and to provide ongoing and targeted support to single parents, PEP’s February Encouragement! master class will be offered to single parents only. We hope you will take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn and practice parenting adapted to your unique circumstances, and in confidence with a group of peers.
This Encouragement class follows a 2-part webinar, Single Parenting: Empower Your Children and Yourself.
Encouragement is the KEY ingredient that makes all other parenting strategies work. And really understanding how to encourage your child is not as easy as it sounds.
This class is where parents build the foundation for their approach and answer the question "What kind of parent do I want to be?" You wouldn’t build a house on a weak foundation; likewise, you can’t help children develop into capable, resilient adults (that is the goal!) when day-to-day interactions and relationships are steeped in a negative, discouraging spin cycle.
In this class you'll learn encouragement strategies and techniques to build a better connection with your child. Parents find that many of the challenges leading them to PEP -- defiance, power struggles, screen time issues -- become less problematic when they have tools to foster their child's independence, resilience, and cooperation.
